The Location
With an absolutely amazing location, a 2-minute walk from the famous Rialto Bridge, this is the perfect place to stay in Venice, especially if you are visiting the city for the first time.
You are very close to all the main tourist attractions, all within walkable distance, often not more than 10-15 minutes.
Stepping out every morning in the heart of Venice was truly a dream, so to me, this is one of the BEST places to stay when traveling to this beautiful city of Italy.
You’ll also have the gondolas right at your feet, just a few meters from the hotel, as well as many restaurants along the famous canal.
The hotel is well connected to public transport too: the water-bus stop is right on its opposite side (Rialto stop), so reaching it is very easy.

The Welcome

Our welcome to the Palazzo Canova was very warm. We didn’t have to wait very long, and the check-in was pretty smooth (besides, I didn’t really mind waiting given the gorgeous lobby decor).
As you would expect from a luxury hotel, guests are greeted with a complimentary welcome drink and after a short while, we were accompanied by the polite receptionist to our room.
The Rooms

The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. I loved the royal blue accents and the Venice imagery on the walls.
The stylish decor and super-comfy beds made us feel extremely pampered during our 3-night stay.
I also appreciated the hotel’s sustainability focus: they have moved away from single-use toiletries and instead offer their guests indulging personal care products from Rituals. (this is one of my favorite brands, you really have to try it!)

Besides the unbeatable location, the Grand Canal view makes Hotel Palazzo Canova one of the best places to stay in Venice.
There’s nothing like admiring Venice’s stunning, centuries-old buildings or the gondolas passing by from the comfort of your own hotel room.
Or you can also simply head over to the La Terrazza roof-top bar for the most incredible Venice sights. This place has stunning panoramic views and is the perfect sport for relaxing after a long day of walking through the city or a romantic drink at sunset.
The Breakfast
The breakfast at Hotel Palazzo Canova is incredible. With many savory or sweet choices, you will feel incredibly spoiled here.
